CHICAGO, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures traded higher on Monday morning, as the oil seeds were boosted by optimism over trade talks between the United States and China.

As of 1530 GMT, the most active May soybeans were up 6.5 cents at 9.0175 dollars per bushel. May wheat was down 3.5 cents at 4.65 dollars per bushel. July corn was up 2.75 cents at 3.6375 dollars per bushel.

Soybean futures went up on technical buying and optimism about progress in U.S. trade talks with top global soy buyer China. Fresh export business lends support.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday reported private exporters sold 140,000 tonnes of U.S. soybeans to unknown destinations for delivery in the 2018/19 marketing year.

CBOT corn futures headed higher on short-covering and worries about U.S. planting delays, while wheat futures edged down on technical selling against a backdrop of ample U.S. and global supplies. Enditem
