SOFIA, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian law enforcement officers on Tuesday seized 17.92 kg of cocaine in the country's northern Black Sea coast, the third such case within a week, authorities said here on Wednesday.

The illicit drug, split into 16 packets put into a sack attached to a life jacket, was found by a border patrol near Kaliakra Cape, the Interior Ministry said.

Nearly 170 kg of cocaine were found last Tuesday near the coast of Shabla, and another 25.43 kg of cocaine near the Sunny Day resort on Thursday.

Examinations would determine whether the last batch of cocaine is similar to the other two, the Prosecutor's Office said.

At the end of March, the Romanian police seized over 1,000 kilograms of cocaine in an overturned boat and in its surrounding waters near the beach of Sf. Gheorghe, the southernmost estuary of the Danube.
