Golmohammadi nominated to coach Iran's U-23 soccer team

TEHRAN, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Yahya Golmohammadi has been nominated to replace Croatian Zlatko Kranjcar in Iran's U-23 soccer team, Persian Football website reported.

The Football Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) will reportedly part company with Iran U-23 curren soccer coach Kranjcar.

Under guidance of Kranjcar, the Iranian team earned a spot in the AFC U23 Championship Thailand 2020 as one of the best second placed teams.

Iraq qualified as the first team after playing out a goalless draw with Iran.

Golmohammadi has shown a good performance with Padideh team in the current Iran soccer season.
