Shenzhen Design Week

Shenzhen Design Week (SZDW) is a city-wide festival, programmed annually according to theme and focus. The theme of SZDW 2019 is "Design for Sustainability". It will include some regular events and activities, such as the Theme Exhibition, the Guest City, the Shenzhen Global Design Award, the Keynote Forum, the Design Exhibition of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Design Forum, etc. Running for about 10 days in different parts of the city, SZDW attracts a large number of designers, design companies, media, and citizens.
The Night of Classical Concerts: The Duet Flute-Piano Concert
Date: April 27
Time: 8 p.m.
Place: Shenzhen Concert Hall
The concert will be performed by Israeli flute performer Tali Rubinstein and pianist Tal Zilber. Tali won Grammy's Best Album in 2015. She tries to combine traditional music with jazz, pop and R&B to create a new style of flute playing. Tal is good at performing all kinds of music, interpreting classical, jazz and popular music gracefully and vividly. They will play the famous Chinese song "Jasmine Flower", Teresa Teng's "Sweet" and Jay Chou's "Blue and White Porcelain" at the concert.
Piano recital: Melody of the Night by Shi Jin

Place: Shenzhen Poly Theatre
Chinese pianist and composer Shi Jin is from Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He is one of the most popular pianists in China, known for loading melodious Chinese compositions with inspiration and emotion. In 2010, his piece "Melody of the Night IV" was designated by director Feng Xiaogang for use in the soundtrack of his famous movie "If You Are the One".
Henry Steiner-Graphic Communicator

Place: Sea World Culture and Arts Center
The famous graphic designer Henry Steiner is recognized as the "father of Hong Kong graphical design". "Henry Steiner-Graphic Communicator" is his first solo exhibition in the Chinese mainland, as well as his largest exhibition to date. It presents Steiner's design practice that lasts more than half a century since the 1960s, bringing together nearly 85 sets of brand design complete cases, and many sets of precious manuscripts such as books, magazines and coins.
