XI'AN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Yuan Shaohua scored a 10-0 win against Abdullrahman Ibrahim from Qatar in the third-place final, grabbing a freestyle 70kg bronze for China on Tuesday at the Asian Wrestling Championships being held here from April 23 to 28.

China's 57kg freestyle wrestler Zou Wanhao and 65kg national champion title owner Yeerlanbieke Kaitai suffered defeats in their first matches of the tournament.

Yuan, 79kg player Lin Pingze and 97kg wrestler Gao Haobin entered the semis, but none of them was the finalist in their categories.

Yuan defeated Ibrahim 10-0 in 34 seconds, throwing the host audience into a frenzy.

"I couldn't fit the new rules good enough, so I was defeated in the semifinal round. I will train harder and show my supporters better results in the future," Yuan told Xinhua.

When up against Oibek Nasirov of Kyrgyzstan in the bronze final, Lin Zepin suffered a takedown and failed to reach the podium.

Gao Haobin's fate was as same as Lin. The 97kg player was smashed 8-2 by India's Satywart Kadian, failing to contribute the second medal to the hosts.

The Iran delegation snatched three golds on Tuesday, including Reza Ahmadali's victory at 57kg, Bahman Mohammad Teymouri's win at 79kg and Reza Mohammad Ali Yazdani's gold medal in 97kg.

World No.1 Bajrang Bajrang won the 65kg title for India. Nurkozha Kaipanov contributed a title to his homeland Kazakhstan in the 70kg event.

The competition continues on April 24 with five men's freestyle weights.
