BEIRUT, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Minister of State for Trade Affairs Hassan Mourad discussed on Thursday the potential of increasing Lebanon's exports to Kuwait with visiting Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Minister Khaled Al Roudan, the official National News Agency reported.
Lebanese exports have a very good reputation in Arab markets, Mourad said.
The two officials attributed the current low Lebanese exports to Kuwait to the difficult procedures on Lebanon's borders with Syria because of the war in the neighboring country.
Lebanese Agriculture Minister Hassan Lakkis visited Syria earlier this month to discuss with the Syrian authorities ways of facilitating exports of Lebanese products through Syrian borders by reducing fees on exported products.
