GABORONE, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The Botswana Intergrated Sports Association (BISA) has selected 200 athletes for the Confederation of Schools Sports Association of Southern Africa (COSSASA) games slated for May 1-5 in Manzini, Eswatini.

The team comprises 80 under 13 athletes, 60 under 15 and 60 under 17 from primary and secondary schools.

Speaking in an interview on Saturday, Letsweletse Jonas, BISA public relations officer, stated that the team has been in camp and the athletes are responding well to training.

"Though some have minor injuries, we are optimistic that they will represent the country well in the competitions," he said.

Some of the athletes represented the country in last year's competition held in Botswana during which Nambia came first, Zimbabwe second and Botswana third.
