German shares edge up Monday

FRANKFURT, April 29 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 12.84 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 12,328.02 points.

Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.09 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard rose by 1.46 percent and 1.12 percent respectively.

Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.51 percent. Automotive supplier Continental and industrial giant Thyssenkrupp down by 2.69 percent and 2.10 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 254.0 million euros (283.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
