Pollepel Island to be open to public till Oct.31 this year

The photo taken on April 30, 2019 shows the remains of the Bannerman Castle on the Pollepel Island on Hudson River in New York state, the United States. The Pollepel Island, familiarly known as Bannerman Island, was purchased by the Bannerman's family in 1900 as a storage facility for war equipment and ammunition. The island, which has become a public tour site now, will be open to public from May 1 to Oct. 31 this year, with various events and activities including boat tours, theatrical performances, etc. (Xinhua/Wang Ying)
