WUHAN, May 2 (Xinhua) -- The 7th Military World Games' two beach volleyball venues have been completed, confirmed the organizing committee on Thursday.

The platoon of one sports center was located in Qingshan district of Wuhan covering 3.94 hectares, whereas another was constructed in Hanyang district covering 5.19 hectares.

Both can accommodate 1,116 spectators, consisting of a main venue with an area of about 2,160 square meters and four standard training courts.

"The main venue of Qingshan sports center is a light steel structure, the design of which is conducive to the demolition and recycling after the race. The cabin, as a temporary service room for match training, is assembled on the spot. After the race, it can be demolished or lifted directly by crane," Zheng Dayong, technical director of China First Metallurgical Group Co.,Ltd.

The sand being used in the stadiums came from Wenchang, Hainan province, the total volume reaching 7,000 cubic meters. It is natural milky white, with the round shape, even and soft particles which can reduce the scratches of athletes.

Due to the location near the river beach and affection by the Yangtze River during flood season, both venues has started construction in August and September last year respectively, which were the latest venues for the Military World Games.

At present, the two platoon centers have been completed, with the equipment being installed in place, which were ready for the connection between venue security system and the public security department, as well as test competition in the August.
