BEIJING, May 3 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese-English bilingual editions of the first three Harry Potter novels have been published by the People's Literature Publishing House.
The new bilingual editions will help readers better understand the stories and the culture behind the plots, according to translator Ma Ainong and sources with the publisher.
The Chinese versions of the first three novels were brought to China by the publisher in 2000, with multiple revisions made to the translations over the years. New revisions have also been included in the bilingual editions to give the readers a more authentic reading experience.
Bilingual editions of the other four novels of the series will also be published in 2019, according to the publisher.
