Namibia to warm up in Middle East for AFCON

WINDHOEK, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Namibian Football Association (NFA) on Friday announced that the national soccer team coached by Ricardo Mannetti is bound to the Middle East for a training camp ahead of the African Cup of Nation's(AFCON) next month.

The NFA also decided to take the forthcoming COSAFA (the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations) tournament as a warm up event for the locally based warriors for their CHAN (African Nations Championship) qualifiers. The team to COSAFA will be led by assistant national coach Collin Benjamin.

"The team will use COSAFA Cup to prepare for the 2020 CHAN qualifiers against Comoros Island right after AFCON. From May 25, the start of COSSAFA Cup, head coach Ricardo Mannetti will take the AFCON bound Warriors to the Middle East for a training camp," NFA said. Enditem
