Tianjin Tianhai tie Chongqing Lifan 3-3 in CSL encounter

BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin Tianhai rallied from two goals down to tie Chongqing Lifan 3-3 at home in the eighth round of the 2019 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

Lifan took an early lead as midfielder Yin Congyao slotted home the opener in the 32nd minute, after a smooth cooperation with Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.

The visitors doubled the lead five minutes later when Fernandinho's through ball found Feng Jing who send it into the net after a mazy run.

One minute into the second half, midfielder Wang Yongpo pulled one back for the hosts who found the equalizer as Brazilian striker Alan converted the penalty in the 72nd minute after defender Mi Haolun committed a handball foul.

In the 90th minute, Lifan defender Yuan Mincheng canceled out an earlier own goal by teammate midfielder Sun Ke to share the points with Tianhai.

"We made some adjustments in our defensive and offensive strategies in the second half, but sadly, we still did not win the game," the 29-year-old Sun said.

After eight games, Lifan rank sixth with one point ahead of Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, who beat Shanghai Greenland 2-1 for their third victory of the season.

Elsewhere, Jiangsu Suning tied Dalian Yifang 1-1. Brazilian forward Alex Teixeira opened the account for Suning in the 61st minute, before Belgian international Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco leveled it in the 88th minute for Yifang.

Cameroonian striker Franck Ohandza scored twice to pace Henan Jianye to a 2-1 win over Beijing Renhe.
