BRATISLAVA, May 6 (Xinhua) -- With only three rounds left to play in the relegation/play-off stage of the Slovak premier league (the Fortuna Liga), all the six teams from the bottom half face the threat of relegation after this weekend's matches.

Only an eight-point difference separates the first team of Nitra from the last Podbrezova.

Zeleziarne Podbrezova Football Club slipped to the bottom after losing 1-0 to Zlate Moravce on home turf when Tomas Dubek capitalized on a late penalty shot.

Senica Football Club's stunning spring form continues with the fifth win in a row, beating last year's champions Spartak Trnava 2-0 thanks to late goals by Kay and Eric Ramirez.

Nitra registered their first win in the relegation group, trashing Trencin 4-1 and moving to the top of the table, where they are relatively safe. It was the second game in a row that Trencin lost with four goals in their net, slipping to the penultimate spot in the league.

In the play-off group, the bottom teams of Sered and Michalovce split the points after a 2-2 draw. Ukrainian-born Yuri Zakhariv saved the tie for Michalovce in the 92nd minute.

After Slovan Bratislava got their 29-match winning streak snapped, they have lost their second encounter in a row. Thanks to a 3-2 home win over the soon-to-be-crowned champions, Ruzomberok moved up to the third place which enables its holder to qualify for the Europa League.

Two goals by Zsolt Kalmar secured a 2-1 win for Dunajska Streda in Zilina. The fifth Fortuna Liga triumph in a row cemented the visitors' final runner-up position in the league, the best in the club's 115-year history.
