TAIPEI, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves rose for six consecutive months to reach 464.83 billion U.S. dollars at the end of April, up 750 million U.S. dollars from March, the island's monetary authority said Monday.
Overseas investors held 385.9 billion U.S. dollars worth of securities investment and the new Taiwan dollar-denominated deposits at the end of April, according to the latest data.
The increase in the island's forex reserves was mainly driven by higher investment returns in the month, the monetary authority said.
