TAIYUAN, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Liu Jieyi, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, met with former Kuomintang party chairman Wu Poh-hsiung in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province on Friday.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the current cross-Strait relations.
Wu was invited to attend a ceremony in Shanxi to pay homage to Emperor Yandi, a legendary ancestor of the Chinese nation.
