First 5G network-supported remote collaborative operation successfully conducted in Anhui

Medical staff of the Shitai County People's Hospital conduct an endoscopic surgery under the guidance from experts of the Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University (AMU) through a 5G-supported remote collaborative operating platform in Shitai, east China's Anhui Province, May 10, 2019. The first 5G network-supported remote collaborative operation was successfully conducted Friday at two hospitals in Anhui. Medical experts from the Second Hospital of AMU guided two endoscopic surgeries operated by another county hospital via 5G technology remotely and timely, during which the experts remote-adjusted the operating machines through voice.
