MADRID, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The penultimate round of matches in Spain's Liga Santander looks guaranteed to provide tension and drama at both ends of the table. Here are some things to look out for on Sunday.

1, Getafe to test Barca

Getafe are probably the worst visitors FC Barcelona could have at the Camp Nou for Sunday afternoon. The side from the south of Madrid is notoriously tough to break down in defense and travel to Barcelona fourth in the table, knowing a point will leave them just a home win from qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Barca will entertain Getafe in a state of shock following Tuesday's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool which knocked them out of the Champions League when most fans were already planning their trip to Madrid on June 2nd.

Barca coach Ernesto Valverde will be without the injured Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele for the game which could see the fans voice their opinions over whether or not he continues at the club, despite being just one win away from a successive domestic double. Valverde needs a good performance and a good win, but neither the occasion nor the rival looks to be ideal for that.

2, High drama in Girona

There are several matches in the battle to avoid relegation, but none are likely to be as tense as Levante's visit to Girona.

Girona's 2-0 defeat in Getafe dumped them back in the bottom three on 37 points, while Levante's 4-1 win against Getafe lifted them three points clear with 40 points.

A win for Levante would see them safe, but leave Girona depending on results in other games, such as Rayo Vallecano - Valladolid, to keep their survival hopes alive.

Girona have just three home wins all season, and another home win would take the relegation dogfight into the last weekend of the campaign.

3, Last Champions League hopes for Valencia and Sevilla

Both Valencia and Sevilla will be looking for a favor from Barcelona as they look to keep their options of qualifying for next season's Champions League alive.

Valencia, who suffered their own European heartbreak when Arsenal denied them a place in the Europa League final on Thursday, are at home to Alaves, who have options of finishing seventh, but look to have run out of gas at the end of the season.

Sevilla meanwhile have a difficult job when they travel to face second place Atletico Madrid. Atletico have little to play for but will want to end the season on a high note at home to say goodbye to players such as Felipe Luis and Diego Godin, who are leaving after years of service.

4, Europa League also in play

The final Europa League place is also up for grabs as Athletic Club Bilbao take a three point lead over Real Sociedad, Espanyol and Alaves into the penultimate weekend.

Athletic entertain Celta Vigo, who are still fighting to avoid relegation, while Espanyol visit mid-table Leganes, and Real Sociedad are at home to Real Madrid, whose results are hard to predict in this end to the season.

A win for Athletic would be enough if their rivals all drop points, but with Celta improving, this is another race that could continue next weekend. Enditem
