LONDON, May 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 1.09 percent, or 77.92 points, to close at 7,241.60 points.
Spirax-Sarco Engineering, a multi-national industrial engineering group, soared 4.40 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. EVRAZ and DCC increased by 4.31 percent and 3.61 percent, respectively.
Ocado Group, an online grocer, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.17 percent.
Vodafone Group, a British multinational telecommunications conglomerate, dropped 3.75 percent. EasyJet, a low-cost British airline, fell 1.57 percent. Enditem
