CHICAGO, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures rose in morning trading on Wednesday, as short-covering and U.S. planting concerns support soybean market.

As of 1530 GMT, the most active July soybean was up 9 cents at 8.405 dollars per bushel. July corn were up 8.75 cents at 3.775 dollars per bushel. July wheat was up 12.5 cents at 4.61 dollars per bushel.

Soybean futures firmed after big gains on Tuesday, as traders turned to short-covering and bargain buying.

At the same time, planting delays in the U.S. Midwest also supported the crop prices. The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday reported that the planting pace for corn and soybeans was slower than expected amid widespread wet and cold weather.

Corn futures rallied as forecasts for rain in the U.S. Midwest this weekend and into next week threaten to further slow the pace of planting.

Strength in corn and soybean prompted some short-covering in wheat futures. Enditem
