LONDON, May 19 (Xinhua) -- China was close to a clean sweep in day 2 of the FINA Diving Series London leg, winning two gold medals in mixed 10m synchronized and women's 10m platform here on Saturday.

The 13-year-old Chen Yuxi dominated the women's 10m platform final with stunning performance, gaining four perfect 10s for her third dive and taking away the gold medal with 413.80 points.

Her 14-year-old teammate Zhang Minjie allowed the gold slip, but was soon compensated by winning the wold in the mixed 10m synchronized with Duan Yu.

British Jack Laugher didn't disappoint the home crowd in the men's 3m springboard final with his insurmountable 562.65 points, which was not far shy of the 572.90 world record, and his compatriot Daniel Goodfellow won the silver.

Chinese diver Wang Zongyuan ended up with bronze, while his teammate Peng Jianfeng only managed to rank fifth with 454.75 points despite his excellent dives in the semifinals.

The Chinese team continued their good form on the day 1 of London leg when two golds and two silvers were secured in pocket.

On the final day, the remaining three medals will be contested in mixed 3m synchronized, women's 3m springboard, and men's 10m platform on Sunday.
