SARAJEVO, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided on Wednesday that Miralem Pjanic will play for Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH's) national team against Italy on June 11, BiH's Football Association official website has confirmed.

Miralem Pjanic was handed a two-game suspension for picking up a straight red card on Greek Carlos Zeca during the match against Greece in March for the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

"I stretched my leg, but I did not attend to hit him, I hit the ball first, maybe I hooked him too, but I did not want to hit him," Pjanic said after the match with Greece, hoping that he will play against Italy.

After UEFA's decision on the two-game suspension, BiH's Football Association filed a complaint, which the UEFA's Appellate Body accepted.

Pjanic will miss the match against Finland on June 8 in Tampere, but BiH's coach Robert Prosinecki will have Pjanic available for the match against Italy in Turin on June 11.

Italy sits on 6 points in Group J, BiH and Greece have 4 points, while Finland has 3 points.
