TOKYO, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks dropped Thursday morning amid concerns over ongoing global trade issues.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 175.50 points, or 0.82 percent, from Wednesday to 21,107.87.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 8.54 points, or 0.55 percent, at 1,537.67.
Mining, marine transportation, and electric appliance issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell. Enditem
