3 dead, 2 missing after metro tunnel collapse in east China

QINGDAO, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Three workers have been confirmed dead and two others still missing following a collapse at a metro tunnel construction site in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, the project undertaker said Tuesday.

Qingdao Metro said the collapse occurred at 5:40 p.m. Monday at a construction site of the No. 4 Metro Line, when five workers were trapped.

By Tuesday morning, rescuers have found the bodies of three workers. The search is continuing.
