Pic story: Zhou Yi, eight-year-old figure skater in Jilin Province

Zhou Yi, eight years old, is the youngest skater in a figure skating team formed by Winter Sport Administration Center of Jilin Sports Bureau. He has been learning the sport for three years and claimed the title of boys group at the 18th Youth Games of Jilin Province last year. Zhou attends training sessions on ice for more than 2 hours after class. He also takes other courses to improve his body coordination, flexibility and physical stamina. In recent years, Jilin Province has implemented programmes promoting ice and snow activities to the masses, and thus large numbers of winter sports talents were trained. (Xinhua/Xu Chang)
