MOSCOW, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua and TASS news agencies on Wednesday kicked off a joint photo exhibition in Moscow to commemorate the 70 years of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
Xinhua President Cai Mingzhao and TASS Director General Sergei Mikhailov launched the exhibition together.
The two news agencies, with a long history and a rich collection of photos respectively, display a total of 70 pictures, with each contributing half of them.
These photos show that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has been developing at a high level under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state.
The pictures cover interactions of top officials, economic and trade cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and cultural events.
Xinhua's photos, the oldest of which was taken in 1952 and the newest in April 2019, show the traditional friendship between the two peoples, the achievements of cooperation in various areas, the friendship and mutual trust of the top leaders of the two countries, and the moving moments of exchanges between ordinary people from both countries.
