Namibia selects kickboxing team for Battle of Atlanta World Championship

WINDHOEK, June 5 (Xinhua) -- The Namibian Kickboxing Federation (NFK) has selected the national team to participate in the 51st Battle of Atlanta World Championships set for June 14-15 in the United States, NFK Secretary General Ankia Rentzke announced on Wednesday.

The team will depart on June 12. Three title belts are on the line and two will be contested by Namibia, said Rentzke.

"This Main Event on Friday night, the 14th will be epic fights by Delano Muller (Featherweight Division), will fight against Stan Rakov from Cinncinati, USA. Lesley Hoaeb (Super Lightweight Division) will fight against Johannes Gottwald (Current World Champion) from Germany," Rentzke said.

Students that are part of the Namibian national team this year are Stephanie Schoonbee Ankia Rentzke,Jan Willem van Zyl, James-Dean Goagoseb, Giano Alcock ,Delano Muller and Lesley Hoaeb. While Philip Muller is the coach of the team and Cherry-Lee Alcock has been selected as the team Manager.
