China's ROV obtains over 500 collections of biological samples in western Pacific Ocean

A member of the scientific expedition dispatches the remote operated vehicle (ROV) Discovery, aboard China's research vessel KEXUE (Science), to dive into the western Pacific Ocean, June 7, 2019. Departing from Qingdao in east China on May 18, KEXUE is carrying out a 20-day investigation over a series of seamounts in the western Pacific Ocean and is scheduled to go back to Xiamen of China's Fujian Province on June 23.
