ULAN BATOR, June 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. men's and women's teams have won a historic double at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2019 which completed here on Friday.
This is the first time that a team won both the men's and women's categories in the same edition.
The U.S. women's basketball team, winners in 2012, 2013 and 2017, beat New Zealand 19-13 in the final round on Friday. France came third after overcoming China 15-13 in the third-place game.
Meanwhile, their men's counterparts beat Turkey 16-12 for their first 3x3 World Cup crown.
