URUMQI, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will launch an additional 18.5 pairs of passenger trains on July 10, the China Railway Urumqi Group Co., Ltd. said Friday.

The electric multiple unit (EMU) trains will be added to the routes linking the regional capital with Hami, Turpan, Shanshan and other cities and counties.

It is the ninth adjustment of the train diagram this year in the regional railway network to optimize the operation sections.

New stops will be added to some lines bound for Fuzhou and Shenzhen. Train routes from Xinjiang to Beijing, Hangzhou and Chongqing have also been improved.

Passengers are reminded to check the train number, time of departure and stops before traveling.
