Jordan, Germany underline continued support for UN Palestinian refugee agency

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas makes a statement in Amman, Jordan, June 9, 2019. Jordan and Germany on Sunday underlined the need for continued support to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to make it continue to play its mandated role. During the talks between Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi and his German counterpart Heiko Maas in Amman, they discussed the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis and efforts to ease the tension surrounding Iran.
