JAKARTA, June 11 (Xinhua) -- At least 300 fighters from 27 countries have confirmed their participation in an international boxing championship in Indonesia next month, the association said on Tuesday.

Among the countries and regions are China, the United States, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Australia, Iraq, Thailand and the Phillippines, head of Indonesian amateur boxing association Brigadier General Johni Asadoma said.

The 23rd Indonesian President Boxing Championship is slated to be held from July 22 to 29 in Labuan Bajo of East Nusa Tenggara province, Asadoma said.

The number of participants at the tournament is likely to increase as the time for registration is still open.

The tournament will stage a men's elite class category aged 19 to 40 years and a women's elite class category with the same age range, said Asadoma.

Each match consists of 3 rounds and it takes 3 minutes for each round, he added.

The tournament offers a total of 19,000 U.S. dollars in prize money, Asadoma unveiled.
