JIANGMEN, South China, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Turkey exacted revenge by beating USA in straight sets at the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League 2019 here on Tuesday.

Last year's Nations League final saw USA come back twice to win over Turkey to claim the inaugural title.

This time Turkey started strong with an 8-2 advantage and cruised to a 25-15 victory in the first set. The Turkish side stormed to a 10-3 run and win the second set 25-17. The third was intense and the two teams stayed close all the way and leveled at 25-25. Yildirim Fatma scored to gift Turkey the third game point and Gunes Zehra converted to victory.

Karakur Ebrar scored a game-high 17 points for Turkey, while Fatma had 11 and Ismailoglu Meliha had 10. Robinson Kelsey had 12 and Thompson Jordan had 11 for USA.
