KAOHSIUNG, June 11 (Xinhua) -- More than 100 young entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, gathered in Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan Tuesday to discuss new approaches for economic and trade cooperation.

Han Kuo-yu, mayor of Kaohsiung, introduced the city's huge development potential at the meeting, and expressed his welcome for investments.

Ruan Zhimin, an entrepreneur from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, said the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area brings enormous development opportunities. Ruan expressed the hope that young entrepreneurs from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will step up cooperation, learn from each other, and nurture more innovative thinking in the process.

A cooperation memorandum was signed during the meeting to set up bases of entrepreneurship for young people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The centers, which will be located in Kaohsiung, Macao and HK, are expected to pool together resources, capital and talent and be linked with those bases at the Greater Bay Area.
