LONDON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.31 percent, or 22.79 points, to close at 7,345.78 points.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, soared 3.37 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. National Grid and Compass Group increased by 1.82 percent and 1.51 percent, respectively.
ITV, a British media company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.32 percent.
Auto Trader Group, a British digital automotive marketplace, dropped 3.24 percent. DS Smith, a British-based international packaging business, fell 2.97 percent. Enditem
