BNU beat PKU to claim women's champion of CUBA

BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Shi Xiaoye had a game-high 35 points, Liu Yutong added 30 points and 16 rebounds to help Beijing Normal University beat Peking University 86-71 to claim their seventh trophy of Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA) league here on Saturday.

The BNU side started with a 23-9 by the end of first period. Shi Xiaoye led the team to a double-digit lead before the last quarter. PKU tried to cut the deficit to 10 points, but BNU managed to win finally.

Zhang Yi of PKU had 24 points, while Guo Zixin contributed 14 points and 9 rebounds.
