MUSCAT, June 19 (Xinhua) -- A Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) panel on Wednesday discussed topics related to planning and development, namely the comprehensive development strategy and relevant challenges.
The meeting, held at the GCC consultative council in Muscat, tackled the knowledge-based economy and competitiveness and implementation of the population strategy, according to a GCC press release.
Also, the meeting handled new and innovative means of financing and upgrading the efficiency and active participation of the Gulf's private sector in long-term investments.
