7.6-magnitude quake hits Banda Sea area off Indonesia: CENC

BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- A 7.6-magnitude earthquake rattled Banda Sea waters off Indonesia, at 10:53 a.m. Monday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 6.51 degrees south latitude and 129.23 degrees east longitude, the CENC said in an initial report.
