BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management on Monday allocated 360 million yuan (52.6 million U.S. dollars) to three province-level regions in southern and eastern China that were affected by heavy downpours and floods.

The money will be used to relocate people from the affected areas in Jiangxi, Guangdong and Guangxi, support their life during the transition period, reconstruct their houses and compensate those who lost their family members, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management.

A level-4 disaster relief response has been activated and multiple working teams from the central government have been sent to the areas to aid the disaster relief.

In the meantime, disaster relief materials including tents, quilts and folding beds, desks and chairs have been sent to areas.
