SANAA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels on Tuesday claimed launching new attacks on the Saudi airports of Abha and Jizan using bomb-laden drones, the group's al-Masirah TV reported.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea was quoted by the television as saying that the attacks targeted aircraft hangars and other military facilities in both regional airports.

"We call on civilians and commercial companies to stay away from Saudi airports as they become legitimate military targets," he said.

There were no comments from Saudi Arabia on the attacks on its airstrikes.

These were the latest attacks by the Iran-allied Yemeni Shiite Houthi rebels against Saudi civilian airports.

On Sunday, a Syrian expatriate was killed and eight others were wounded in a Houthi drone attack on Abha airport, according to the Saudi authorities.

Last week, 26 civilians were injured in a projectile attack that targeted Saudi Arabia's Abha International Airport.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a coalition to fight in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled Yemeni government against the Iran-allied Houthis.
