QINGDAO, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The 7th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Peacemaking Experts' Meeting started in Qingdao of eastern China's Shandong Province Thursday.
Approved by the 25th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) foreign ministers' meeting, the event is jointly hosted by China's Peacekeeping Affairs Center under the Ministry of National Defense and Cambodian National Center for Peacekeeping Forces, Mine and Explosive Remnants of War Clearance.
Since its inauguration in 1994, the ARF has become an important platform for multilateral security dialogue and cooperation in the Asia Pacific region. Peacemaking experts' meeting stands as a key topic of the ARF mechanisms.
