2 killed in two-car collision in southern Azerbaijan

BAKU, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision involving two passenger cars in the southern Azerbaijani district of Bilasuvar on Thursday, the country's emergency authorities said.

Rescuers pulled out the bodies of two women from the deformed cars. Four people were admitted to a local hospital, with one of them later discharged with minor injuries. The three victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries, health officials said.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Enditem
