Jordan condemns terrorist attacks in Tunisia

AMMAN, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Thursday condemned two terrorist attacks that hit the Tunisian capital.

Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi in a phone call with his Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui stressed Jordan's support for Tunisia in its fight against terrorism and to maintain its security and stability, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

The Jordanian officials said terrorism is the enemy of the international community.

He voiced support for the Tunisian authorities' efforts to eradicate terrorism.

Earlier on Thursday, two bomb attacks took place in the Tunisian capital Tunis, one near the French embassy and the other at the headquarters of a counter-terrorism department, leaving a police officer killed and several others injured.
