TOKYO, July 1 ( Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks sharply rose Monday morning.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 383.01 points, or 1.80 percent, from Friday to 21,658.93.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, was up 25.61 points, or 1.65 percent, at 1,576.75.
Every industry category on the main section gained ground, led by marine transportation, electric appliance and pharmaceutical issues. Enditem
