JAKARTA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A total of 12 fighters from four countries will compete in a boxing championship in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara at the end of the week, promoter said on Friday.
The international boxing championship titled "The Border Battle" is scheduled to be held from July 6 to 7 in Kupang of the province, a young Indonesian promoter Elisabeth Liu said.
The countries sending fighters are Australia, Timor Leste, the Philippines and host Indonesia, Liu said.
The major bouts will stage three classes, including, first the bout of super light IBO and WBC Asia, Indonesian fighter John Ruba will face Joepher Montano from the Philippines, the promoter said.
Secondly, super feather class of IBO and WBC Asia, Indonesian fighter Defry Palulu will meet opponent from the Philippines Ivor Lastrilla, Liu said.
The last, the bout of weigh class of IBO, Indonesian fighter Tibo Monhesa will face Australian fighter Omari Kimweri, she said.
