Bosch's major integrated braking system production base settles in Suzhou

NANJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of auto technology and services, has unveiled its second production base for its integrated braking system in the city of Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, according to the Suzhou Industrial Park's management committee.

Launched in December 2017, the project saw a total investment of 800 million yuan (about 116.4 million U.S. dollars) and cover over 10,000 square meters in the Suzhou Industrial Park.

The production base will manufacture Bosch's latest lighter and space-saving e-brake control system that combines brake boosters, vacuum pumps and electronic stability programs (ESP), enabling automated driving possible.

The new system will also provide tailored services and feedback to clients by analyzing cloud data, said the company.

Bosch Group opened the Bosch Automotive Products Suzhou Co. Ltd. in the Suzhou Industrial Park in 1999, manufacturing automotive parts and accessories. Now it has become one of Bosch's largest research and development centers and manufacturing bases.

Founded in 1994, the Suzhou Industrial Park has attracted more than 5,000 foreign investment projects with total direct foreign investment of over 30 billion dollars.
