ULAN BATOR, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Nasser Al-Attyiah of Qatar won the Gobi stage of the 2019 Silk Road Rally for the fifth time by three minutes and seven seconds on Thursday.
During the stage from Ulan Bator to Mandalay Gobi, where Chinese drivers delivered stable performances, the competitors raced through mountains and flat roads, reaching the Gobi through grasslands before competing on the plateau at an altitude of 1,600 meters.
In the auto race, although no Chinese driver made the top three, four entered the top ten.
The race was tougher as there's much gravel along the route, but still had a smooth running without tire problem, said Al-Attyiah.
