1st LD-Writethru: 7.1-magnitude quake hits Halmahera, Indonesia: CENC

BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- A 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit Halmahera, Indonesia at 5:10 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 0.52 degrees south latitude and 128.17 degrees east longitude, the CENC said in a statement.
