London, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Two men in Manchester threatened students with a knife at a high school on Wednesday morning, but caused no injuries, according to the police.

The men were arrested and terrorist factors were ruled out, a spokesman of the Greater Manchester police told the local media later during the day.

The incident took place at St Matthew's Roman Catholic High School in Moston, when the men reportedly entered the campus by climbing over the fence, with one of them holding a utility knife.

It was followed by an "altercation" between the men and some students, said the spokesman.

Witnesses told local media that the intruders were seen running around the campus while some students tried to climb over a gate to get away.
