SKOPJE, July 20 (Xinhua) -- The average salary in North Macedonia will reach 30,000 Macedonian Denar (around 550 U.S. dollars) by the end of the government's term, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev tweeted on Saturday.
Zaev said that the country's economy this year is yielding results and the citizens feel the effects.
"The average salary continues to grow from month to month," he tweeted.
According to Zaev, the average salary in the country will continue to grow and will reach 30,000 Macedonian Denar by the end of the government's term in 2020.
On Friday, the country's state statistical office reported that the average monthly net wage paid per employee in May 2019 was 25,270 Macedonian Denar (around 462 U.S. dollars), increasing by 3.1 percent year-on-year.
